JoJo Spook On Exhibit
Michael Berry in his book Contemporary Artists of Australia sites the work of JoJo Spook as "quirky and satirical" but one must not overlook her exceptional use of colour and ability to depict her subject matter in a rich and expressionistic manor. From July we will be featuring recent paintings of Robe and other coastal environments at the Gallerie Restaurant across the street form our gallery, while at Wilson's JoJo has on exhibit of unique wire sculptures. We are delighted with JoJo's move to Robe and look forward to receiving new works on a regular basis.

Calypso Flash
Colin Fleming and Yvonne Moloney began their jewellery business in 1972 by creating and selling at local markets in Victoria, Australia.
Originally, Colin and Yvonne cast in base metals such as brass, steel, copper as well as resin, plastics and shell. However after “doing the hard yards of creating, selling and just ploughing on” in 1992 they decided to begin casting in lead free pewter and double plating in silver followed by antiquing and long hours finishing off pieces by hand polishing.
These fastidious attentions to technique and detail have led to the finely crafted product that is today sold throughout Australia in galleries and fine retail outlets.
Colin and Yvonne are determined to keep Calypso Flash with just the two of them and even though at times “an extra hand would be appreciated” they believe remaining a two person business is the key to keeping quality and creativity at the highest level. All Calypso Flash jewellery is completed “in house” in Colin and Yvonne’s Melbourne workshop where they pride themselves on their original designs and finish.

John Lacey
John Lacey began his career as a design draftsman but today we know him as the creator of beautiful impressionistic landscapes in oil on board or canvas . John has won numerous awards and in 2007 won the much respected Corporate Prize at Victor Harbor Art Exhibition.
John enjoys painting outdoors and usually uses these plein air studies for larger studio works . Presently we have a wonderful collection of works featuring the Robe environment.
